| La flagelación de Piero della Francesca
Su autor, Piero della Francesca, nació en la Toscana (Italia) en 1416 y fallecido en 1492. Fue pintor del Quattrocento, que dominó la técnica de la perspectiva y el claro oscuro. El cuadro de La Flagelación es un óleo sobre tabla de 59 x 81 cm que nos muestra la flagelación de Cristo. La figura de Jesús está alejada para así trabajar la perspectiva. En el primer plano se sitúan tres personajes. La escena es una acción paralizada en un momento.
Pero a mi lo que me interesa es mostraros el suelo donde se desarrolla la escena principal, la flagelación de Cristo.

Jesús está delante de la columna central. Podemos ver un poco de suelo delante y detrás.
Me parece interesante comprobar como los artistas dedicaban mucho tiempo en recoger detalles de la realidad. Piero della Francesca podría haber simplificado esta parte, sin embargo la recoge fielmente.
Quiero dar las gracias a Pedro Leal, que ha sido quien ha averiguado la forma del suelo y la ha dibujado.
